NOTE: The start date is tentative. Season 4 will begin once a leader for this season is identified from the list of successful graduates of our virtual self-study group program. If you are interested in leading this group, please step forward.

HTML5 Brunch, our virtual self-study group focused on HTML5, CSS3 and responsive design, is returning for Season 4. This season will provide basic to intermediate training in how to develop web pages that display appropriately in all devices, not just desktop machines. Season 4 targets beginner to intermediate web designers and front-end web developers.

If you would like to advance your current HTML and CSS knowledge to include developing websites for mobile devices, consider joining us. Tell your friends and co-workers to join in the fun.

The format of a virtual self-study group is as follows:

Each participant purchases the same textbook: Responsive Web Design with HTML5 and CSS3 in 24 Hours.

Each participant commits to read one chapter per week, complete the exercises and post links to your completed work.

Each participant obtains assistance by posting questions to a discussion area (not yet) set up on the Boston PHP Message Board for each chapter.

Each participant who completes the book is recognized on the Self-Study Group | Wall of Accomplishment.

Note: There is no classroom instruction. There are no webcasts. There are no scheduled appointments of any kind.

Once you have the book, you simply proceed at a pace that best fits into your current work/life schedule. You have the option to meet informally at the beginning of each Boston PHP Meetup, if you live in the Boston area. You can even set up a real life self-study group with others in your neighborhood. You DO NOT need to live in the Boston area to participate.
